Red signal

One fine day, i was travelling to office and while crossing Mayur Vihar-I red signal something very strange happened. All traffic such as bikes, cars etc are stopped for red signal and that too without touching zebra crossing. If someone from foreign country happenes to see such a disciplined Delhities, sure he will write a third page editor's column in their national dailies about our high discipline.

But, i happen to be a typical cynical indian and looked into nearby traffic constables. They are carrying ICR forms, and busy in noting down numbers of signal violating vehicle numbers. Now, it is not a rocket science to know the very reason behind such a disciplined show.

To make our india to give tough competition to China and other nations, we should seriously consider to keep atleast one traffic constable behind every citizen. whenever, that particular citizen violating social norms and rules his number to be noted down on special citizen challen in ICR form and heavy fine to be imposed. Ofcourse, failure to wash wife's cloth carries heavy penalty.

While thinking so, i jumped two red signals near to my home... obviously, there were no traffic constables armed with much dreaded challens and anyway, in our Uttar Pradesh roads a person can be awarded if he happens to find a any working road signals. If at all it works, i am sure it will be well past mid-night when vehicle density will be one/sq.km....!!!
