3 leg k9

Who broke the one leg of the black dog living near our hostel room. What it did except showing unconditional love to everyone in the vicinity. It's very disturbing when it approached me, try to playful as usual... but, in three legs. No doctor, no ambulance, no family support, no other friends in her age group... poor helpless soul, still not learnt to keep distance from animals disguising as humans.

Red signal

One fine day, i was travelling to office and while crossing Mayur Vihar-I red signal something very strange happened. All traffic such as bikes, cars etc are stopped for red signal and that too without touching zebra crossing. If someone from foreign country happenes to see such a disciplined Delhities, sure he will write a third page editor's column in their national dailies about our high discipline.

But, i happen to be a typical cynical indian and looked into nearby traffic constables. They are carrying ICR forms, and busy in noting down numbers of signal violating vehicle numbers. Now, it is not a rocket science to know the very reason behind such a disciplined show.

To make our india to give tough competition to China and other nations, we should seriously consider to keep atleast one traffic constable behind every citizen. whenever, that particular citizen violating social norms and rules his number to be noted down on special citizen challen in ICR form and heavy fine to be imposed. Ofcourse, failure to wash wife's cloth carries heavy penalty.

While thinking so, i jumped two red signals near to my home... obviously, there were no traffic constables armed with much dreaded challens and anyway, in our Uttar Pradesh roads a person can be awarded if he happens to find a any working road signals. If at all it works, i am sure it will be well past mid-night when vehicle density will be one/sq.km....!!!

Rs.10 pen and 10 minutes

Few days back, after making a official visit, I was having lunch in a hotel at Nehru Place, New Delhi. All of sudden one young lady started to move around our table and frantically searching for something. Almost whole restaurant turned to look into our table and we thought she might be misplaced some very important document or wallet.

When a concerned guy sitting opposite to me asked her, she worriedly replied that she is looking for a pen which she supposedly left behind in table.

That cool stranger guy whispered to his friend " these ladies are very strange in nature, they used to misplace their belonging in one place and will search in some other place, and if they don't find that pen worth of Rs.10, i am sure that they will cry for atleast 10 minutes even after reaching their home". After that he casually resumed his lunch with a wicked smile in his face.

I couldn't stop laughing silently for a while...

Republic Day Parade-2009

Just happened to be part of Republic Day celebrations at Delhi. Privileged to get a chance to sit near to H'ble President saluting podium alongwith international dignitaries. It's trully a heartwarming and prideful moment to watch and marvel the diversities of India and beauty of her which were exceptionally displayed.

Proud to be an Indian. Meanwhile, i can't stop remembering a anonymous quote 'Loving one country is good, but why does love stops at boundary'...

Help, an Indian way

Few days back, one early morning someone stopped car near to me and asked the way to Salwan public school. I said "Take left, and go straight" with confidence, and gracefully accepted their "Thanks".

I felt satisfaction of helping someone at early morning until i realized that i sent them to nearby market where u will get only vegetables and no school anywhere nearby...!! Incidentally, the school is right infront of the spot from where they asked for direction.

I disappeared from that spot.

Probably, they won't forget my face for next few months... and if someone knows the best plastic surgeon at Delhi, please let me know.
